Its been 5 years today since god took you from me. I miss you and love you with all my heart! It hurts me so much to have lost you and our life together. Alonzo, You have been on my mind a lot lately. I've had several dreams about you this past month, i hate waking up from them. They just seem so real. No one really understands what im going through. I miss you so much and so does Layla. Layla is so smart, she is so much like you in many ways. She gets the intelligence from you. I wish you were here to see her grow. I love and miss you dearly.. I was thinking about Alonzo tonight and the beautiful niece that I have been blessed with... We were friends at first but somewhere along the way we came along problems. I remember the first day i met you at my apartment haha poor thing i drilled you with questions about your age your plans in life your job everything because even though you and Brittney were just friends I saw how y'all looked at eachother and I knew y'all would end up together. I even made you show me your I.D. Haha... Even though we didn't agree with eachother and really upset eachother at times... I remember when you called me when Brittney was pregnant with Aliyah and asked me to be civil for Brittney and the baby's sake I thought that was really grown of you to want to put all of our disagreements aside to be a family. Even though you didn't necessarily like me you wanted me to be a part of Aliyahs life and I wanted that so badly and was so worried you Would interfere but you proved me wrong at the time... You stepped up as a man and apologized for everything and invited me to be a part of that precious baby's life... It meant so much to me, even though we only said "hey" to eachother since then I gained a lot of respect for you. Even though we didn't see eye to eye on alot of things you never stopped me from seeing Aliyah. Until that day when we had that talk I wondered why my sister was with you but after that conversation I realized thy you weren't a little selfish boy... you were a man who understood the importance of things. I am sooo sorry for everyone who was affected by this loss. Alonzo, you were one of a kind. No body deserves to have their life ended as short as yours was and especially not the way it happened or for the reasons it did. I just hope you can forgive me for all that we have been through it is a shame that I didn't take the opportunity to get to know you better than I did. But you will always be my brother in law. I hope you can forgive me for everything... And please understand that all our misunderstandings was me trying to look for the best interest of my sister. On a lighter note I'll never forget the time we went to the river and you didn't have nothing to swim in so you just stripped right down to nothing haha I had to give you my shorts to wear so you wouldn't swim naked we had such a good time even though we smuggled our "beverages" it was great!!! You will be missed

Alonzo, every time I think about you, I start to cry. I cannot believe you were taken from us so quickly. You and your family stayed with me for a while when you were a baby. You were precious. I hated when you all left. Your children are so beautiful. I see you in them.
