Alonzo!!!!
You'll never know how much you impacted everyone's lives!!!
You were like an older brother to me.

I remember when i got in so much trouble and you were sharing all the times you got in trouble when you were a teenager. :(

I'll miss seeing you and brit at your house on the random times when i would come over :(.

I can't believe you're gone.

Literally like a week ago, i'd called to see how you were :(.

i love and miss you! :(

Linda Moses We were so Blessed! March 13, 2009
Hi Alonzo, This is Ryan's and Robert's mom again just wanting to thank you for being such a good friend to my sons. They thought the world of you and truly valued your friendship! I only wish I would have known you a little better myself. I went to your memorial on behalf of Ryan and Robert, but also for myself and to be there for all of your family and friends, especially the group of you that all grew up in Northcliffe together, and of course for you. They were all there for you and your family last night and did such a great job sharing their memories of the friendship they have always known with you! They are hurting really bad right now and we all grieve along with your beautiful family, but they can take comfort in remembering the good times and fond memories they will always have of you. You have truly touched all of their lives in such a positive way, and we are all going to miss you greatly!!! We were so Blessed to have you in all of our lives and you will live on in our hearts forever until we all meet again! You can take comfort in knowing that all of your friends are going to make sure Brittany and your beautiful babies are always protected and provided for! They will never go without if your friends have any say in it!!! To your beautiful mother, wife, and family, we are so sorry for this senseless loss and that Alonzo had to be taken from all of us way too soon! You had raised a fine boy that grew up to be and outstanding young man, and I am so sorry that he is gone, but he will live on in our hearts, always and forever!!! We miss you Greatly and Already! Til we all meet again on the other side, may you "Rest in Peace" my  son's good friend! Linda Moses

Alonzo, I can't thank you enough for touching my life as a teacher! You are the reason that I get up every morning. Your raw honesty was incredible when you walked in my 5th grade class back in 1999 - 2000 at Jordan Intermediate. You told me right off the bat that you did not like to read. I promised you that day that by the time the school year ended that you would love reading. I was so glad that that promise came true! Your bare book, Helpless, was a favorite read by my 5th grade students that came after you. I was so proud of you when you came back to our school a few years later and spoke to our kids at an assembly. It was then that you were reunited with your bare book. I gave you a new one and you promised to keep writing. I am so glad to see that not only did you keep writing but you kept drawing as well! I was so glad to see you once again at Jimmy's funeral. It was a sad time to reunite but you were so proud to introduce me to your wife and little girl!!! You made the day shine a little brighter! To Alonzo's family and friends, I offer my heartfelt sympathy! I pray that the Lord will comfort your hearts at this time! I pray that you find peace in the saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I pray that Alonzo's daughter will know that her dad touched a lot of lives in his journey here on earth. May she continue to experience the love of God and see the Hand of the Lord through her daddy's words and art! God Bless!!!

To My FamilyWith Love,

The love of this family can show the work of God
To prevail over our weakest of moments
To lend a hand or mend a broken heart.

To cry or laugh with one another shall always be
Embraced with open arms and a smiling face.

Times they are tough, but alone you will never be to have the love of this family it's as easy as One Two Three.

The joy of a birth, too watch a little life grow are memories to cherish that we will never let go

The pain of a death, the emptiness felt inside, the family is all here, no need to hide

To be so lucky to have a family like this when we all get to Heaven, God deserves a big kiss.

In our souls, minds, and hearts may this family never be torn apart

The love of this family has shown me the work of God to realize this gift for the world to see, how much my family means to me.

I love you all my prayers are with you .

May our love grow and carry on even long after we are all gone

Thank you to my family for the love that you all show every good deed God will surely know.

Ann Jeanette Patton A Mother's Prayer March 11, 2009

Dear Lord Jesus,

I ask you to bless Maria Anna with your peace and mercy.  Hold her in your arms, and keep her safe.  Let her know that she is loved and deeply respected as a mother and grandmother.  Help her know that you now hold her beloved son in your arms.

Those of us who are also mothers mourn with her.

With love,

Ann Jeanette Patton

I am so sorry for your loss. It is hard to know what to say in a time like this, but know that everyone is thinking about you and your family. You will all be in my prayers.

The Anders Family Our Sympathies March 10, 2009

We knew Alonzo through my brother Roy and his wife Yolanda.  Lee Roy is our nephew.  When Roy and Yolanda lived in Northcliff, that was the first time we got to know Marriana and Roy and of course Alonzo.  He and LeeRoy were inseparable.  Alonzo's family lived down the street from Roy and Yolanda's house.  Alonzo and LeeRoy would run back and forth to each others house all the time.  We were very sorry to hear of your loss, Marriana and Roy and your family.

Jesus said:

Let the Children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.

Luke 18:16

May you and your family draw strength from the Lord during your time of pain.  He has all the strength to give.

Roy, Marianna, Vanessa, Carla and Adam,
I remember the last time we saw Alonzo, he was jamming on his guitar, Megan on the piano. We said we should get together again so the kids could do some more jamming but our busy lives never crossed again. He was always fun, sweet and had that adorable smile. I got to meet him when he was still a young boy, but he was growing up to be a very handsome young man. I am thankful we were able to share a small part of our lives with him. He will be missed but never forgotten. The first time I saw his little girl, I saw his likeness. I will always remember him when I see her.I hope he will be able to watch over his little girls, like Joe was able to watch over his grandsons. I think Alonzo was strong will enough to do just that.
Marcus D. Anthony (K-SAM) Friend March 10, 2009

I moved into the Northcliffe neighborhood in December of 1996.  Right away I met Adon and Alonzo who were both very young and always out playing.  Alonzo would come over to help me work in the yard and he and I would throw the football around and just hang out.  Sometimes he would be waiting for me when I got home from work.  There were times where I felt like an older brother who tried to talk to Alonzo and encourage him to stay away some of the trouble that I saw when I was younger.  Rencently,  Alonzo and I exchanged cell-phone numbers.  He was going to help me out with some projects that I wanted to accomplish around the house.  Alonzo had been telling me that he was working construction and that he was good at fixing things.

It was a week ago Saturday that we were going to fix some sheetrock but it didn't work out.......

Little brother, now you are at rest and we will all miss you very much.   It was a terrible shock to hear what happened and my heart is still very heavy with grief.   My prayers will be with your family during this very difficult time.
