Remember when you and Lee Roy found a big lizard and snuck it into my fairly new car? It was a used car, but it was new to me. We went to HEB, and you and LeeRoy giggled all the way to the store. You would not tell me why. You two giggled in the store to no end! Finally, you told me that you had a lizard that had escaped in the car!

We looked and looked for it, but could not find it.

After a few days, the car began to smell....very badly.

So badly....! And it was summer! Due to the heat, we turned on the a/c, but the stench forced me to leave the windows down!!
Finally, I called Mike, and he had me bring in the car.

The lizard was found, dead, somewhere in the car. Mike used coffee grounds to absorb the stench.

And that is the story of Alonzo, Lee Roy and the Lizard in the Mercury Sable!

It is a day to celebrate your life, Lonz! All the funny things you did, thought and said! Things like......when you said Naku instead of Canoe....or things like "I don'g have a goood  remembery" instead of "memory".  

I remember the day that Vanessa, Carla and Adan went to California, and you and I stayed home. I became so ill that the neighbor across the street took me to the emergency room. Her family took care of you while the hospital cared for me. I was released at 2 a.m. and the neighbor took me home. We didn't want to wake you, so you remained at her home.
Btut at 7 a.m., I heard the front door open, and a pitter patter of little feet that ran across the floor...and then there was silence. I got up to see your sleeping, angelic little body in your bed....resting.

Nobody at the house across the street noticed. I was thankfull that the front door was left unlocked.
So thankful for you! 

You have been on my mind like crazy lately! Words can not express how much I miss you.  I miss laying in bed with you late at night just talking about anything and everything. I miss your touch, how you would hold me every night when we went to bed. I miss your voice, telling me everything will be ok, telling me you love me. I miss how you use to always play your guitar and sing to me, you had a voice of an angel!  I miss your laughing and your beautiful smile. You would light up any room with your smile!  I miss seeing you with the girls. You were such an amazing father to them!  You had such patience and love for Aliya and Layla.  I just simply miss you baby. I miss us.  Today makes 6 years since you were taken from us. It feels like a lifetime yet just the other day. Aliya is growing to be more and more like you and it's amazing. She is so smart and beautiful! Shes in the last 6 weeks of first grade and has made straight A's since she started school! I know your really proud of her! Today was her very first soccer game and she did great. Layla and your mom were there too! I miss you baby and I love you with all my heart! Please continue to watch over us. I hope your doing amazing up there! Love you baby

Happy Birthday alonzo,  we went to the movies yesterday with both your daughters, and ate cake today, sang you happy birthday, your mom and your kids were here today,  we all miss  you so much, i was telling tia kathy about the time you lost your $ 20.00 bucks at the corner store and you went to go ask the guy that was pumping gas if he found your $ 20.00 bucks,  your sooo funny,  i couldnt stop laughing, Happy Birthday  Alonzo, love Uncle Mike, Tia Kathy, and Michael, Michaela, and Matthew,,  oh and by the way,, i really think Michael looks like you, he sure does act like you, and he went to a birthday party it was his best friend,a girl,  he was the only boy at the party, but you know this cause your always watching,, Love you,   Uncle Mike
